Meet Dena

Hello, my name is Dena Brandt.  I live with my husband of 20+ years and two beautiful teenage girls in the beautiful state of Washington (the EvergreenState), where I’ve chosen to live my entire life so far.

I hope you will take a minute to read my story and know that if I can do it, you can, too.   

My story is similar to many, maybe even yours.  After graduating college, I got married and had a budding business career.  I enjoyed the responsibilities, adult friendships, and income of a grown-up job.  After all … that is what I went to school for.

Looking back now, I can tell you that I did not like the 5AM alarm clock, the commute to and from work, wearing a suit, pantyhose and heels, the long structured hours, and reporting to the man in the corner office.  But this was the life modeled for me as a child and one that I went through 4 years of college to achieve, or so I thought.

When it came time to start a family, I struggled with the same decision as millions of women.

• Should I go back to work, dropping my children off every morning for someone else to care for?
• Or give up the career I worked so hard to attain and raise my kids myself?

Fortunately, my heart spoke louder than my head and I’m proud to say my family came first!  I was now a SAHM (Stay-at-Home-Mom) and loving it.

   

In the coming years, my husband and I scaled down our spending to keep me at home with our children.  I cherished the early years with my girls and the countless memories we built together.

I knew the gift of my time at home was priceless.  Yet it did not stop my desires for adult conversation, extra spending money, and the lifestyle of my dreams.

As the girls grew, I became friends with other moms with kids the same ages in mommy/baby groups, church groups, preschool, elementary school and Tae Kwon Do.   I began to attend home parties and hear about Direct Selling / Network Marketing.  All I really knew was that consultants could buy at a discount, make some extra money, and maybe earn a trip or a car.  I had no idea of the real income potential, nor was I actively looking.

In 2002, we moved from our starter home of 13 years into a newer home in the suburbs.   My interests then were trying to figure out how to decorate and furnish our new home on a budget while remaining a SAHM.

A few months after our move, I stumbled upon a Direct Selling booth at a local holiday bazaar.  The product was beautiful, dazzling and calling my name.  When I asked the consultant what her discount was, I was stunned to find out 50% (to this day, I still can’t believe I asked her that!).

That 50% discount meant there was also a 50% profit to be made.  The wheels in my head began to turn as I dreamt of all the possibilities of house paint, furniture, family vacations and more.

In January 2003, just weeks after finding the Direct Selling product line I wanted to own, I decided to just “give it a try”!  I knew that at the very least I would get a great discount for myself and have gifts for family and friends.

It wasn’t until my kit arrived that I began educating myself on the business and true income potential.   In addition to retail sales, I learned that I could earn BIG money from an on-going residual income with this business.   I loved the idea of being paid over and over for work I would do one time.

The wheels in my head began turning faster and the excitement kept me awake at night (know what I mean here?).   It was then I decided to educate myself on Direct Selling (via library books and the Internet) and join the successful ranks of those at the top.

Just giving Direct Selling a try has turned into an incredibly rewarding career.  Who would have known that within one year I would earn the #1 Rising Star Award (aka Rookie of the Year), the Dream Getaway Trip to Cancun for both my husband and myself (our first vacation alone without kids in 10 years!), enough money to fly my family to Disneyland for the first time, and prepay 2 years of college tuition for the girls!

Year two brought me my first ever six-figure income and the highest title promotion of the company at the time.  The rewards and recognition continue.

Because of Direct Selling, I am modeling for my children (and others) how to have a successful career at home with family, earn an incredible income, earn an annual tropical vacation with my husband each year, and have girlfriends from coast-to-coast.   Just know the tools, products and pay plans are in place for you to do the same.

 Please understand there is no get rich quick scheme here.  While you can make money fast, it takes passion, effort, continuous learning and consistency.  It is the only way to make your dreams come true.

The sky is the limit with this industry.  I wish you the best in making your dreams come true.
